Founder, Poaching Prevention

Jax has a degree in Ecology and a masters in Conservation & Biodiversity and is founder of Poaching Prevention.

She spent several years living and working in Central and Southern Africa, during which time she had the opportunity to assist with research on elephant demography and dehorning operations in Zimababwe’s Matusadona National Park.

Jax has worked as a researcher and a Wildlife Information Services Assistant for Cornwall Wildlife Trust and has also undertaken research work for Natural England. Whilst working at the University of Exeter she helped to organise the world’s first international conference on the use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles in Environmental Research and assisted with research using fixed wing unmanned aerial system (UAS) for monitoring hidden stores of soil water.

Jax is now fully focused on facilitating the objectives of this charity.

On Wednesday morning, the conference will be dedicated to our Environment and Renewables track.
