Executive Director of WeRobotics
Over the past 15 years, Patrick worked in the Sudan, Somalia, Uganda, Liberia, Philippines, Kyrgyzstan, Nepal, Timor-Leste, Peru, Western Sahara, Haiti and elsewhere on a wide range of innovative humanitarian projects with multiple international organizations including the United Nations and the World Bank.
His new book, Digital Humanitarians, has been praised by Harvard, MIT, Stanford, Oxford, UN, Red Cross, World Bank, USAID and others.
In 2015, he spearheaded the Bank’s post-disaster aerial robotics (drone) mission in response to a Category 5 Cyclone in the Pacific.
He was subsequently invited by the UN to coordinate drone teams responding to the Nepal Earthquakes. He later conducted a joint disaster recovery drone mission in Nepal to support rebuilding and preparedness efforts.
Patrick is the Executive Director of WeRobotics, a not-for-profit organization supported by the Rockefeller Foundation.
WeRobotics scales the impact of local humanitarian efforts through the use of appropriate robotics solutions. Patrick has given multiple TEDx talks and twice keynoted the prestigious International Drones and Robotics for Good Awards in Dubai.
